Driving down Dave's street you see a normal small town southern neighborhood. Then you may notice a skinny forest of live oaks, towering pines, magnolias, bamboo and mimosa, with a small board and batten cottage. That's Dave's house.
lyrics
I live in a slender forest,
sacred is the night,
where squirrels squirrel and never rest.
Owls, I've seen in flight.
Ferns along the walking path,
Magnolias overhead.
Sacred is the morning sun,
cool and burning orange red.
Come talk to me through my window
pane. (by my window side)
I'm too sleepy for the morning light.
Day as burning as the night has died,
Can't you slow down till I'm feeling right?
Black out curtains like World War II
keeping out the light.
Please don't tell me I missed the day
before it turned to night.
I live in a fleeting world.
Watch the young ones grow.
Your sacred hour upon the stage,
Catch it on the go.
